I have tried all the Salons in Wellesley and paid a lot of money for terrible haircuts. I tried the Parlor as a last resort and it was amazing. I had a haircut with Niki and she was unbelievable--she understood exactly what I was trying to describe and the "look and feel" that I was going for and she helped me go from long straight hair to super short and funky. I've never in my life gotten so many compliments on a haircut. I will never go anywhere else.
Shirley opened her new salon on Washington Street near Forest St. Shirley was always good, but some how she got even better! I absolutely *love* the new cut she gave me. Makes me feel younger and it's low maintenance to boot. If you have not been to her salon, you're in for a very pleasant delight. It's got that NY chic and sophistication with the beauty swirling inside of it (the feel good / life is beautiful vibe). Even the bathroom & dressing room are decadent (love it when the bathroom is beautiful and generously proportioned). Oh the big extra, parking is *so* easy. They even have a parking lot in the back. Back to the hair, after I left, I got so many compliments on my hair, she blew dry it so it was long and sleek but gently framed my face. People were asking where I got it cut! Thanks Shirley.
I spent years looking for my dream salon and I stopped looking the day I found The Parlor! Nikki, Fran and the whole team are world-class artists and all around amazing people. I tell everyone I know, if you are looking for a life changing hair cut and/or color this is the place. Worth any amount of travel time!

Best hair-cutting experience ever! The place is beautiful and modern, love it! Everyone is so friendly and are great at their job. I went in with a hairstyle in my mind of what I wanted and they talked me out of it and into one I truly love. They listened to what I said and gave me a haircut that fits my looks as well as my lifestyle (brush and go style, without having to do a lot of "styling"). I've never had someone take such time and care with my hair. Absolutely wonderful place! Thank you so much!
